Rev. Dr. Alison Boden . . .
serves as Dean of Rockefeller Memorial Chapel and teaches at
the University of Chicago's Divinity School. She is a graduate of Vassar College and New York City's Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre. After some years' work as an actress
in Manhattan, she began study there at Union Theological Seminary.
An ordained minister in the United Church of Christ, her past positions include
chaplaincies at Bucknell University and Union College. Reverend Boden has been active with a variety of
nongovernmental organizations whose focus is religious-based movements for
social change in Central
America and the Caribbean. She has authored articles on pediatric AIDS, religion and the
academy, and human rights in Cuba, as well as a book of meditations for Advent:
"E'en So, Lord Jesus, Quickly Come."
